Physical Therapy is the art and science of evaluating disorders involving the bones, muscles and fascia, and nervous system which impair or prevent normal movement causing pain and/or limitations with functional activities of daily life.

Today there is much public confusion regarding the differences between healthcare providers. Chiropractors, massage therapists, and athletic trainers all provide services that are only a part of the comprehensive program delivered by a physical therapist. Indeed, a manual physical therapist will not only adjust the joints of the body through mobilization but also directly provide myofascial release, deep tissue massage, and exercise programs designed to achieve your goals. These are all components that are required to be able to provide comprehensive and effective care in the treatment of musculo-skeletal dysfunction.

The physical therapists of INVIVO Wellness are manual therapists. Before treatment is begun a comprehensive evaluation is conducted and a physical therapy diagnosis is rendered. Based upon the evaluation your physical therapist will design a treatment program with the end goals of decreasing dysfunction and pain and ultimately returning you to full functional activity.

During your course of treatment we may use tools such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound. Most importantly we use hands-on therapies including spinal and joint mobilization, massage, myofascial release, strength and conditioning exercises.

Best of all, physical therapists are covered by insurance. INVIVO Wellness will be glad to check your insurance benefits before treatment is initiated.
